Detailed Itinerary Of Classic Mekong Delta Tour in 2 Days

Day 1 - Mekong Delta: Ben Tre - Can Tho

In the morning, the city's modern scenery is gradually replaced with rice paddies and rural villages on your drive to My-Tho and a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda. Board a boat to Ben Tre where you will go through the impressive islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise and Phoenix the lush gardens and fruit orchards of a local family.

Take a tuk tuk/ or Horse Cart (subject to availability) along the country lanes with palm trees, paddy fields and orchards. Stop at a bee-keeping farm for sipping the honey with tea and Kamquat and enjoy the folk songs in the Southern. Continue on a smaller rowing boat for a more adventurous cruise on the canal which is set amongst a forest of palm trees.... Return to My Tho city for heading to Can Tho city. Arrive in Can Tho city late this afternoon then check in at hotel.

Day 2 - Cai Rang Floating Market

In Can Tho, take a boat to visit the colorful Cai Rang floating market. Here, during the early morning market hours, larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out of. The main items sold here are fruit and vegetables and each boat has a long upright pole at its bow from which samples of the goods for sale are hung. The waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even floating pho vendors.

Then, we have a walk “monkey” bridges to get closer to the local life. We also visit a rice noodle makers before coming back to the hotel. At a local restaurant, we can taste the Mekong specialties before we continue exploring the most beautiful & peaceful things of the Mekong delta.

Then, we will drive back to Sai Gon by road to travel through Vietnam's picturesque countryside with its rice paddies and rural villages in this part of the world makes a fabulous backdrop for final photos. Return to Saigon later afternoon.
